Cougars sign G-League player for 2023

The Cockburn Cougars have signed their next import Courtney Alexander II.

After signing collegiate star Taj Benning, the NBL1 West Cockburn Cougars have signed their next import Courtney Alexander II.
The springy 6’8 forward played for Tennessee Tech in four seasons. Having his best season as a senior, starting every game and averaging 7.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and two assists.
In the 19-20 season, Alexander played for the OKC Thunder’s G-League team the OKC Blue in five games. He has most recently he has played in the Bulgarian NBL for Tundja Yambol.
Head coach Andrew Cooper believes Alexander II will create a major impact in NBL1 West this season.
“For season 2023 we really wanted to match our personal to our style of play and we think we have done that with the signing of Courtney,” he said.
“He was a unique skill set that we think will benefit us and allow us to be extremely versatile at both ends of the floor. Courtney has next-level athleticism and adding him to our program should make for some really fun basketball.”
Alexander II is the son of former NBA player and 13th overall pick in the 2000 draft Courtney Alexander.
Alexander joins head coach Andrew Cooper, Cockburn star Josh Hunt, Benning and Seva Chan.
