Keilor Thunder dominated Mt Gambier Pioneers 100-70 on Sunday at Keilor Stadium, securing a commanding win in front of the home fans.
The Thunder put on a show at both ends of the floor, shooting a red-hot 50.6 percent from the field while holding the visitors to just 37.1 percent. Isabelle Bourne led the charge with 24 points on an efficient 71.4 percent shooting, including four triples. Maddison Rocci delivered a double-double with 23 points and 10 assists, while also snagging three steals. Keilor's dominance on the boards was telling, outrebounding Mt Gambier 51-31 and converting 16 offensive rebounds into 11 second-chance points.
For the Pioneers, Haliegh Reinoehl fought hard with a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds. Mackenzie Burke added 17 points including five triples, while Edie Easterby and Catherine MacGregor chipped in with 11 points each. Despite connecting on 40.7 percent from outside, Mt Gambier struggled inside, scoring just 18 points in the paint compared to Keilor's 44.
