The Darwin Salties have signed their first player for the 2022 NBL1 North season, securing the services of Jerron Jamerson.
Jamerson comes across from Mackay where he was named the NBL1 North Grand Final MVP in his team's championship win.
Before this, he spent time playing in the Northern Territory and experienced great success in the region with Tracy Village.
Salties men's coach Matt Flinn said he couldn't wait to see what Jamerson could do upon his return to the region.
"What struck me most about Jerron besides his great versatility as a player, competitive spirit and his willingness to get better each day as a pro, was his passion for the city of Darwin," Flinn said.
"We have spoken about a range of things- but one thing that came shining through was his desire and excitement to be a part of something new- challenge each other- build a program on the right terms and I believe Jerron has the potential to lead this team well.
"Having a guy who is proven in the league- understands the North conference and coming off an MVP Grand Final performance was a no-brainer from the club's point of view."
