Daymen signs with Norwood in NBL1 Central

Shay’Lee Dayman has signed with the Norwood Flames for the 2021 NBL1 Central season after the completion of her senior season for the Simpson University Red Hawks.

Shay’Lee Dayman has signed with the Norwood Flames for the 2021 NBL1 Central season after the completion of her senior season for the Simpson University Red Hawks.

The 5’11 forward completed four years of junior college in the USA, first with Lake Region State College before transferring.

In three out of the four years Daymen spent in college, her team made it to the Championship Tournament.

“I’m excited to have Shay’Lee join us at the Norwood Basketball Club, not only because she is a good basketball player, but great person off the floor as well,” coach Derrick Washington Jr said.

“We look forward to watching her play next season in the NBL1 Central.”

Known for her defence and slashing ability, Dayman will be a valuable asset both on and off the court for the Flames as she is highly competitive and wants to help foster a winning culture.

“I’m excited to see how far Coach D-Wash can take this team, he has some really good visions for the team next season and I can’t wait to see it all come together,” Dayman said.

Dayman is a dual-sport athlete, who is also currently playing for Glenelg in the SANFLW.
