Exprienced guard Motroni makes move from Suns to Redbacks

The Perth Redbacks have signed experienced point guard Rebecca Motroni for the 2022 NBL1 West season.

The Perth Redbacks have signed experienced point guard Rebecca Motroni for the 2022 NBL1 West season.
Motroni is the Redbacks' third signing so far, after securing the signature of Lakeside's Mikayla Pirini and re-signing Shenae Hartree.
Motroni featured for the Eastern Suns in the 2021 NBL1 West season and was particularly impressive from three-point range, shooting at 43.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Perth NBL1 Director Nathan Barns was excited to see Motroni in ?Redbacks colours next year. ?
"Bec is a fantastic signing for us," he said.
"Once again we are getting someone who is both a quality player and a quality person who will fit right in with our existing group.
"She had a fantastic NBL1 season in 2021 (and in particular a great game when she played against us!).
"We cannot wait to have Bec on our side and we're excited to see her in action."?
Redbacks head coach Michelle Fletcher was equally thrilled about Motroni's signing.
"Our off-season focus has been to bring great people and hard workers into our team environment and create healthy competition within for all positions," she said.
"Bec is just that and we expect to see the rewards from that during the season.?
"Bec adds real depth to our perimeter game and is respected around the league for her game and leadership qualities.
"We hope this change will create exciting opportunities for her and add to her list of achievements."
