NBL1 superstar Steph Reid will make a fairytale homecoming to the Frankston Blues for the 2024 season.
A junior with the club, she represented the Blues at the senior level in 2019 during the competition's inaugural season – where she recorded the first 50-point game in NBL1 history.

She’s spent the past three seasons with the Townsville Flames, winning the NBL1 North championship and Finals MVP during the 2022 season – also claiming a WNBL title with the Townsville Fire during her time in Queensland.
Reid said that her return to Frankston was driven by her family, wanting to spend more time around them after many back-to-back seasons in Townsville.
"To be honest, I just thought it was time to come home and I miss my family and this is somewhere that I’ve loved my whole life. I grew up playing here and there’s no better place for me to play and I thought it was time for homecoming," she said.
"Frankston I cannot wait to play in front of the home crowd and hear all the banging of pots and pans and all.
"And I can’t wait to play in front of my family again."
Being named to the Opals Olympic Qualifiers squad today, she will now return to the NBL1 South, where she will suit up against the likes of Opals teammates Sara Blicavs and Zitina Aokuso.
Last season she averaged 20 points, six assists and 5.4 rebounds for the Flames, leading them to the first round of the NBL1 North Finals before they lost to the Logan Thunder.
