The South West Metro Pirates will welcome back Zac Carter to the Ship, where he will join the re-signed Steph Bairstow for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 North season.
Carter is a South West junior who grew up playing for the Pirates.
Since then he has played NBL, NZNBL, QBL, NBL1 and represented New Zealand in its national team.
"I decided to sign with South West this season to finally return to my junior club," he said.
"I have always considered South West to be my home club and I feel now is the perfect time to come home.
"I’m really excited to be back and looking forward to seeing how successful we can be this year with our squad."
Bairstow averaged nine points, two assists and five rebounds last season with her best being 17 points and six rebounds against Ipswich.
"Steph brings size, mobility and great scoring punch both inside and out," Pirates Women's Coach Brad George said.
"Her leadership this year will play an integral part to the team's success and I expect her to have a massive impact."
