Flames secure Kennedy-Hopoate

The Norwood Flames have signed Bride Kennedy-Hopoate to their 2021 NBL1 Central roster.

The Norwood Flames have signed Bride Kennedy-Hopoate to their 2021 NBL1 Central roster.
Kennedy-Hopoate is a 6’4 forward/centre who last played for the New Mexico Lobos in NCAA Division 1. She had transferred there from Iowa State (NCAAD1).
Throughout her collegiate career, Kennedy-Hopoate played against some of the biggest teams in women’s college basketball, including Kansas State, Kentucky, UC Riverside, Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State and Kansas.
She scored a career high 17 points versus both UTEP and Kansas State.
Kennedy-Hopoate has also represented Australia for Junior National Teams and a FIBA Under 17 World Cup.
Kennedy-Hopoate has her goals set high, as she strives to play in the highest levels of basketball possible – WNBL and beyond.
“I am absolutely stoked to be playing for the Norwood Flames for the 2021 season alongside some of Australia’s greats such as Ally Wilson,” she said.
“I feel truly blessed to have connected with Coach D-Wash and am eager to get on the court and get to work.”
