NBL1 North

Cairns Marlins: Ky Stattmann

Marlins’ guard Ky Stattmann had a busy weekend in the NBL1 North. Cairns went into a triple header and came out with a 2-1 record.

Stattmann averaged 22.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists across the three games. He powered through Game 3 with a massive 52 points against Ipswich Force. He led his side to a 111-98 win.

Townsville Flames: Alex Fowler

The Townsville Flames earned themselves a crucial win over the weekend as they sit at tenth on the ladder. Powerhouse Alex Fowler helped her squad reach their third in a row.

Fowler recorded 32 points, eight rebounds and three assists against the Mackay Meteroettes, the Flames won 81-75.

NBL1 East

Inner West Bulls: Alexander Higgins-Titsha

A strong competitor in the NBL1 East has earned himself this week’s Player of the Week. Alexander Higgins-Titsha recorded 23 points, 13 rebounds and two assists for the Inner West Bulls, as the Bulls won 108-86 to the Penrith Panthers.

Higgins-Titsha has proved dominant on the offensive end in Round 13, finishing with a 66.8 field goal shooting percentage.

Sutherland Sharks: Lauren Nicholson

WNBL champion and NBL1 East Defensive Player of the Year, Lauren Nicholson continues to will her Sharks to wins in the NBL1 East. 

In her 40-minute stint over the Norths Bears, Nicholson provided 35 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

NBL1 South

Mt Gambier Pioneers: Tom Kubank

Tom Kubank, Pioneers’ forward dominated in Mount Gambiers’ 2-0 record this weekend.

His average across both games was 22.5 points, 11 rebounds and six assists. Kubank scored 21 points in game one and hit a double-double in game two with 24 points and 13 rebounds. He shot 60 percent from the field and recorded an 80 percent two-point shooting percentage.

Frankston Blues: Louise Brown

Frankston Blues’ forward Louise Brown had a stellar weekend as she recorded 26 points, 21 rebounds and three assists.

Brown’s season average is 16.9 points and 15.3 rebounds. She aided in the Blues’ eight-point win against the defensively-minded Eltham Wildcats.

NBL1 West

Willetton Tigers: Gorjok Gak

South East Melbourne Phoenix recruit Gorjok Gak starred for the Willetton Tigers over the weekend, he averaged 23 points, 15 rebounds and four assists.

The Tigers came out of the weekend with a 1-1 record. Gak put down 19 points and nine rebounds in game one over the Rockingham Flames. He followed that with a massive double-double in game two with 27 points and 21 rebounds.

Joondalup Wovles: Robbi Ryan

Robbi Ryan dominated the Wolves’ game against the Rockingham Flames. The NBL1 West All-Star Five member scored 32 points, seven rebounds and eight assists in their 102-82

The Joondalup guard also recorded two steals and one block. Her season average is 20. 8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.

NBL1 Central

Woodville Warriors: David Humphries

Warriors’ forward David Humphries assisted in a 9-point win to the North Adelaide Rockets.

He scored 31 points, eight rebounds and two assists, which resulted in Woodville’s second win in a row. They are now placed fifth on the ladder.

Southern Tigers: Morgan Yaeger

Tigers’ guard Morgan Yaeger was on the verge of a triple-double on Saturday as she recorded 31 points with nine rebounds and nine assists.

Thanks to Yaeger's standout performance, the Southern Tigers gained their fourth win in a row and are now in second place on the ladder.
