From working for the Warriors to playing for them: Riak signs with Woodville

The Woodville Warriors have announced the signing of Nyidier Riak for the 2021 NBL1 Central season, which tips off on Saturday. 

Riak last played at Panola College in Texas and was impressive in her freshman year. 

Not only did she feature in every game, but she also grabbed eight or more rebounds in seven contests, including a career-best 13 against Trinity College. 

Riak then made the move to NCAA Division 1 college Tennessee State, before COVID-19 hit.

Because of this, the Melbourne native decided to stay in the country and continue her playing career professionally down under. 

The Warriors will be looking for Riak to showcase her strong inside presence this season.

Away from the court, Riak also works at the club so she will already be familiar with the behind-the-scenes setup at Woodville.
