Garrett returns to the Blues

Frankston Blues have announced that Tom Garrett will return to the Blues for the upcoming NBL1 South season.

Frankston Blues have announced that Tom Garrett will return to the Blues for the upcoming NBL1 South season.

Currently on a break from Metro State University in Australia, due to the Covid-19 situation overseas, the Frankston Blues Junior turned Senior player will be looking to continue to improve his game.

In 2019 Garrett provided 3.8 points, 1.9 rebounds in just over 12 minutes per game with the Blues.

Garrett will also represent the club in the Big V Youth League Men’s team under new head coach Ash Arnott, alongside Assistant Coach duties with the Under 18.1 Boys.

Head Coach Andrew Harms spoke about Garrett’s continuing development.

“Tommy has been a player who has epitomized our mantra around player development; opportunities and resources," Harms said.

“He doesn’t miss individual sessions, he uses all the available wrap-around supports the club provides, and from day 1 he has shadowed the veteran players to pick up further tricks of the trade.

“We look forward to Tommy flourishing at the club and continuing to correlate the hard work with achieved outcomes.”

Garrett spoke about returning and the growing culture.

“I’m very excited to be back again at Frankston, the culture that’s growing here is second to none and I’m over the moon to be a part of it,” he said.

“With a lot of the same group from 2019 hanging around as well as some incredible inclusions, it’ll be exciting to see what this team can do.”
