Giants sign dynamic guard Ghee

The big signings for your Northern Star Resources Goldfields Giants Men's team continue as they announce they have signed dynamic guard Jesse Ghee for the 2022 season.
Ghee joins the Giants after 3 seasons playing in his homestate of Queensland, most recently with the Northside Wizards in the NBL1 North competition and the Ipswich Force in the Queensland Basketball League.
Prior to that he spent two seasons in the US playing college basketball for the Fullerton Hornets in California.
He's coming off an outstanding 2021 NBL1 North season, where he averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5.75 assists and 2.25 steals per game for Northside alongside former Giants player Atem Atem and NBL champion Mitch McCarron.
A proud Torres Strait Islander, he's spent the last two years as a head coach of the Indigenous Basketball Australia program, founded by Australian basketballer and NBA star Patty Mills.
With his time at the IBA, he's been mentoring and coaching young indigenous Australians and he's hoping to continue his work in the Kalgoorlie-Boulder and Goldfields community once he arrives into the region.
Ghee is due to arrive into Kalgoorlie-Boulder in early 2022 in preparation for the commencement of the NBL1 West season in April.
