Hannah Griffin led the Hornets' charge with a spectacular shooting display, dropping 22 points including six triples at an impressive 67 percent from outside. Jade Kirisome added 21 points on efficient 64 percent shooting, while Ella Gale recorded a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 18 boards (15 defensive). The Hornets shot at a much higher clip than their opponents (43 percent to 32 percent from the field) and controlled the game for over 36 minutes.
Despite the loss, Sutherland showed fight through Aliza Fabbro's 18-point effort including four triples at 80 percent from beyond the arc. Madeleine Norris contributed 16 points and nine rebounds, while Olivia White added 10 points in the paint. The Sharks struggled with shooting efficiency but managed to outwork Hills on the offensive glass (19-14).
