Shenae Hartree will be back for another season in red, re-signing with the Perth Redbacks for the 2022 NBL1 West season.
Hartree averaged 6.83 points and 4.94 rebounds per game in a season where the Redbacks made finals.
Perth NBL1 Director Nathan Barns was thrilled to re-sign the exciting 17-year-old guard.
"Shenae was a priority re-signing for our NBL1 women's team," he said.
"I love what Shenae brings to the team- especially her commitment and desire to do well.
"I'm really excited to see her development continue and I can see 2022 being a breakout year for her."
New NBL1 women's head coach Michelle Fletcher was equally excited to secure Hartree's signature.
"I'm absolutely thrilled to have Shenae stay with our group for 2022," she said.
"Our overarching goal as a program is to create a culture that facilitates our players' growth and helps them reach the goals they have set for themselves in a positive team environment.
"Shenae is exactly the type of player and person who fits that mould.
"The untapped potential Shenae possesses is a huge bonus for us as a playing group and for our club in the future.
"Shenae really stepped up when we needed her this year, and I'm looking to create more opportunities for her in 2022.
"She has shown glimpses of what she is capable of against some of the best players in the league, and I have no doubt the best is yet to come."
