Highflyer Zion Warioba re-signs with the Pack!

The Chambers Franklyn City of Joondalup Wolves are excited to announce the re-signing of Wolves Junior Zion Warioba for the 2024 NBL1 West season!

Zion is a high flying, dynamic Forward who plays with speed and next level intensity. In the pre-season, Zion has been working hard to improve his game and contribute to a winning culture. In the season opener of the NBL1 West season, Zion made consecutive second defensive efforts that led to a score on the other end.

Wolfpack fans can look forward to seeing Zion hit the court in Green, this NBL1 West season!

Men’s Head coach David Morrell had this to say about signing Zion:

“Zion has been a staple of the D-League roster the last couple seasons, another guy that has been a Wolves junior and has gotten better year by year. But while he has been successful previously at D-League, more and more this year, he’s found ways to positively impact things at the NBL1 level.

He’s a guy who can shift a game with his energy and activity. Out of nowhere he’ll get 2 steals in a row or offensive rebounds and swing a game. He’s got length and athleticism, versatility, and a great feel for the game. Zion is still young, so we are excited to see how he can develop. We are thrilled to have him as a part of the squad for 2024.”

When asked for a statement on his signing, Zion said:

“I am very grateful to the coaching staff to be signing with the Wolves again this season. Our team is full of players that want to win and I'm ready to help any way I can. We’re all excited to go out and compete in front of the best fans in the league and with the new additions to the team, I think they’re going to love supporting us even more this year.”

Zion joins teammates Jack Kingswood, Beau Gardiner, Jeremy Combs, Gabe Chadinha, Jonathan Wade, Ethan Elliott, Ben Geel, Christian Jurlina, Caleb Davis, Luca O’Brien, CJ Turnage and Jordan Wellsteed for the Joondalup Wolves in the upcoming 2024 NBL1 West season!
