The South West Metro Pirates have welcomed Alissa Alston to their Coles Express NBL1 North Women's team for the 2022 season.
Alston, 24, is from New Haven Connecticut.
She played college basketball for Ole Miss (University of Mississippi) for three years then transferred to St John's University in New York.
In her final year, she reached a milestone of over 1000 career points shooting an impressive 39 percent from the three-point line, ranking fourth in the conference.
"Alissa comes highly regarded off the back of a great college career at Ole Miss and St John's," Pirates women's coach Brad George said.
"She possesses explosive speed and scoring prowess accompanied with her toughness on defense and direction on offense.
"These attributes make her a key addition for our team."
