Following the announcement that the Hills Hornets are entering NBL1 East in 2022, the club has announced that Darren Marshall will be leading the women's program in this next phase of their development, while Reece Potter will lead the senior men's program.
Marshall has had a very successful journey coaching in the senior women's program, with key highlights including winning the 2018 Youth League Women competition, as well as the 2018 Hills Hornets Women's Program Coach of the Year.
Coaching the Senior Women in two COVID-19 interrupted seasons has halted seeing the full potential of the team coached by Marshall.
This makes the 2022 season, entering a new and prestigious league all the more exciting.
In 2021, Reece headed up the Senior Men, where he was building a strong foundational program with a new style of play.
Unfortunately, COVID-19 had other plans for the season and fans were unable to see the full potential of the team.
