2022 NBL1 Central All-Star Five member Jasmin Fejo is headed to the Central Districts Lions for the 2024 season.

The 23-year-old with Adelaide Lightning experience has been one of the premier point guards in South Australia, averaging 6.1 assists (third in Central) with 15.7 points per game for the sixth-seeded West Adelaide Bearcats this past season.

The 2022 champion Fejo will be an outstanding addition to the Lions who finished 10th last season.

Coach Joe Noone said he is thrilled Fejo to the team.

“It is a big moment for us as a developing program to have the opportunity to add a player of Jas’ quality,” he said.

“Her smile, love for the game and ability to perform at a high level is a massive building block for us. The Lion’s Den is going to love watching this talented young woman drive us forward in 2024.

“It’s great to reunite with someone you’ve coached before, particularly as I have seen her growth at both ends of the court, and as a person over the last couple of years.”

“[This] is just the beginning, as we want to create an environment where players see Central Districts as a destination to improve their game, take advantage of opportunity and play a role in a successful program.”

Fejo said she’s ready to make the move to the Lions and start a new chapter in her career.

“I am really keen to be joining the Lions squad in 2024,” she said.

“I’m super excited for a change of scenery and to be wearing new colours! Plus it's pretty electrifying to be playing with my sister Renai and meeting the rest of the squad.”
