Wood has a proven record of success across the Victorian basketball pathway. She has won championships at all levels in the state, including VJBL’s Victorian Championship and Big V Youth Championship Women, and in recent years guided the Victorian Under-20 Women to a Gold Medal at the Australian National Championships.
On the international stage, Wood was part of the coaching staff of the Australian Gems at the 2025 FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup, helping the team secure a Silver Medal.
At the professional and semi-professional level, she has spent the past five NBL1 South seasons as an assistant coach with the Frankston Blues Women’s program, while also during the past WNBL season, serving as an assistant coach with the Southside Flyers.
Wood said she was honoured to take the next step with the Blues.
“I’m incredibly excited and honoured to step into this role. Frankston has one of the most passionate supporter bases in the league, and it is a privilege to lead this team into a new era of Blues Basketball."
"We have a fantastic group of hard-working young women, and I’m eager to continue building on the proud legacy of this club. Go Blues.”
