The Cobras have won four straight games to sit seconded place on the ladder, led by the reigning NBL1 South Coach of the Year Peter Godfrey.
Hickey revealed the roster this season for the Cobras includes former Kilsyth junior players who have impressed in the early stages of this season.
“You have a look at the players that they've got in the core of their group and its guys that have played together or play juniors throughout for Kilsyth,” Hickey said on the latest episode of The NBL1 Show with host Megan Hustwaite.
“You take a look at people like Jamie Ahale, Ben Ursich and Ady (Adrian) Tomada.”
Cobras’ guard Ahale averages 17.8 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists whilst Ursich averages 14 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.3 assists. Tomada averages 19.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists.

Hickey acknowledged the performance the Cobras have put on so far and praises the Kilsyth organisation.
“They've risen through the ranks together and they're just playing phenomenal basketball,” he said.
