The RedCity Roar have signed Gareth Lyle for the 2022 Coles Express NBL1 North season.
Lyle was a mainstay for RedCity's most successful junior team when the Association was formed in 2019.
He was part of the first RedCity Roar junior team to play its way into Division 1 at the State Championships in January 2020.
In 2021, Lyle made the jump to QSL in the senior ranks and had some white-hot performances, including a couple of 40 point games.
Lyle is an intelligent player with great skills and competes on every play regardless of the challenge in front of him.
He is a player and coach of the Alex Hills Raiders Basketball club and a product of the Alexandra Hills State High School Basketball program.
Speaking about Lyle's signing, General Manager Peter Pollock said: "Now that RedCity has a pathway to NBL1 we are excited to watch Gareth develop and get this opportunity.
"Providing a pathway was a big part of the reason our clubs were formed and we hope to see many more of our juniors with the same approach that Gareth has, making that transition from Junior Reprentative to QSL and onto to NBL1."
