Perth Redbacks defeated the Joondalup Wolves 113-89 on Friday evening at Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre in a game that showcased Perth's dominance on both ends of the court.
The Redbacks controlled the paint throughout the contest, outscoring Joondalup 50-22 inside and dominating the glass with a commanding 60-34 rebounding advantage. Anneli Maley delivered a historic triple-double with 29 points, 30 rebounds, and 10 assists while shooting an efficient 67 percent from the field. Natalie Chou was equally impressive, pouring in a game-high 33 points including seven triples to go with five steals. Perth's ball movement was exceptional, dishing out 29 assists compared to Joondalup's 15.
The Wolves struggled to contain Perth's fast break, giving up 40 points in transition. Despite the loss, Stefanie Berberabe led Joondalup with 23 points and six steals, while the duo of Ella Thornton-Elliott and Laniesha Paddon each added 14 points in the losing effort.
