Marshall continues to impress in ABC

North Adelaide Rockets star Nick Marshall continues to shine in the Adelaide Basketball Challenge, scoring 34 points in the club’s 94-64 win over the Woodville Warriors this week.

North Adelaide Rockets star Nick Marshall continues to shine in the Adelaide Basketball Challenge, scoring 34 points in the club’s 94-64 win over the Woodville Warriors this week.

Marshall is leading the ABC in scoring, averaging 27 points per game, as he prepares for next year’s inaugural NBL1 Central season.

With clubs using the ABC to have an extended look at youngsters, players on the brink of NBL1, imports and more, here are some of the standout performers from round 11 of the competition.

MEN

Luke Stanbridge – Woodville Warriors

Despite the Warriors suffering a tough loss this week, Stanbridge had a strong performance with 27 points.

Lual Lual Diing – Southern Tigers

Lual Diing has had a consistent second half of the campaign and that continued this week with an 18-point performance.

Joel Spear – Sturt Sabres 

After some quieter performances by his standards, Spear was back to his best this week with 32 points.

Eric McAlister – West Adelaide Bearcats 

McAlister led the way for West Adelaide in their win over the Eastern Mavericks with 25 points.

Nik DeSantis – West Adelaide Bearcats

Another Bearcat that had a good game in round 11 was DeSantis who posted 20 points.

Lachlan Knibbs – Eastern Mavericks 

Knibbs scored 21 points for the Mavericks this week.

Brandon Brine – Forestville Eagles

Brine had his best performance of the season this week, scoring 25 points for the Eagles.

Michael Harris – Forestville Eagles

Another Eagle who soared in round 11 was Harris with 21 points.

Malith Machar – Forestville Eagles 

Machar amassed 20 points in ABC action this week.

Todd Davies – South Adelaide Panthers 

South Adelaide recorded a 70-50 win over the Centrals District Lions on Tuesday night and Davies led the way for the victors with 20 points.

CJ Turnage – Norwood Flames

Turnage was back to his dominant best this week with a 33-point showing for Norwood.

WOMEN

Jade Johnson – Sturt Sabres

The returning college star posted 23 points in Sturt’s win over the Southern Tigers this week.

Nicola Mathews – Sturt Sabres

Mathews continued her recent run of hot form with 17 points this week.

Teige Morrell – Southern Tigers

One of the best players in the league, it was no surprise to see Morrell lead the way for the Tigers in round 11 with 27 points.

Samantha DeFrancesco – North Adelaide Rockets

DeFrancesco led the way in the Rockets’ comfortable win over the Warriors with 18 points.

Katherine Perkas – Woodville Warriors 

Perkas was the Warriors’ best this week with 16 points.

Amy Cotton – Forestville Eagles 

Cotton’s 18 points were the best for Forestville this week.

Mollie McKendrick – South Adelaide Panthers

The Panthers had a big win this week and McKendrick was unstoppable with 28 points.

Tayla Watson – South Adelaide Panthers 

Watson had her best game of the season this week with 21 points.

Gabby Rodda – Central Districts Lions

Rodda was the Lions’ leading scorer on Tuesday night with 18 points.
