North Adelaide Rockets star Nick Marshall clearly wasn’t impacted by the short hiatus, as he amassed 39 points to lead his club over the Southern Tigers 80-74.
Marshall is leading the ABC in scoring this season, tallying 26.75 points per game.
Here are some of the best NBL1 player performances from round eight of the ABC, with one more game still to play in the round on Saturday night when the Sturt Sabres face the Forestville Eagles.
MEN
Lual Lual Diing – Southern Tigers
Lual Diing was in strong form before the break and that continued on Tuesday night as he scored 17 points.
Nik DeSantis – West Adelaide Bearcats
DeSantis’ 17-point performance helped lead West Adelaide over the South Adelaide Panthers.
Patrick Ciganovic – West Adelaide Bearcats
Ciganovic scored 16 points in the Bearcats’ 79-63 victory.
Finn Shead – South Adelaide Panthers
Despite the Panthers’ loss, Shead had his best showing of the season with 19 points.
Kristian Ciabattoni – South Adelaide Panthers
Ciabattoni also added 19 points in South Adelaide’s defeat.
CJ Turnage – Norwood Flames
The Norwood superstar wasted no time getting back to his best this week, posting 25 points in a win over the Woodville Warriors.
Greg Mays – Forestville Eagles
Forestville had a massive 96-59 win over the Central District Lions and Mays led the way with 19 points.
Adam Doyle – Forestville Eagles
The former NBL player added 17 points in the Eagles’ victory.
Jake Rios – Forestville Eagles
Rios was another Eagle who scored 17 points in this week’s win.
Ayual Garang – Central District Lions
Garang was the Lions’ best on Tuesday night with 21 points.
Tyson Dyer – Sturt Sabres
Dyer had an impressive performance for Sturt this week with 29 points.
Jack Turnbull – Sturt Sabres
Another Sabre who had a strong showing in their win over the Eastern Mavericks was Turnbull, who amassed 17 points.
Andrew Thomas – Sturt Sabres
Thomas added 16 points in the win over the Mavericks.
Lachlan Knibbs – Eastern Mavericks
Knibbs’ was Eastern’s best player on Tuesday night with 24 points.
WOMEN
Genna Anderson – Norwood Flames
Anderson’s strong season continued this week with a 28-point performance against Woodville.
Georgia Thomson – Norwood Flames
Thomson was also impressive in Norwood’s win with 17 points.
Olivia Thompson – South Adelaide Panthers
As her return to basketball continues to gain momentum, Thompson posted 25 points on Tuesday night.
Mollie McKendrick – South Adelaide Panthers
McKendrick added 20 points in the Panthers’ victory over the Bearcats.
Chloe Hodges – West Adelaide Bearcats
The Drexel University commit added 14 points for West Adelaide this week.
Amy Cotton – Forestville Eagles
Cotton led the way for the Eagles with 21 points in their win over the Lions.
Zali Grosser – Forestville Eagles
Grosser added 16 points in Forestville’s win.
