The Eastern Mavericks have announced that Steve Knight will be the team's NBL1 Women's Head Coach for the 2022 NBL1 Central season.
Knight has had a strong association with the Eastern Mavericks for more than 12 years in a variety of roles including guiding the U14s to Club Nationals and the U16s to a championship at the Classic tournament.
In addition, Knight brings a wealth of experience with several years coaching in the State Metro for Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals as well as Country and high-performance coaching roles, including at Australian Junior Camps, Premier League women teams and at the Lightning Academy.
Knight comes into the role after Mark Billington stated his intention to pursue his SA Country coaching commitments next year.
The Eastern Mavericks women finished eighth on the NBL1 Central ladder with five wins and 13 losses in 2021.
