Mines signs with Geraldton

The Geraldton Buccaneers have announced their first signing of the 2021 NBL1 West season with Jonathon Mines joining the club.

Mines last played for the South West Metro Pirates in the QSL. He has also played professionally in Greece and Croatia.

“We are really excited that Jonathon has chosen to sign with the Panaceum Group Geraldton Buccaneers,” the club said in a statement.

“We know Jonathon had other offers from around Australia and are pleased he signed with us. Jonathan will add some speed and scoring power in the guard spot, plus help us defend some other talented guards in the league.

“We feel he will fit in well with our local talent and compliment some of the other players we are hoping to bring in. Mines comes highly recommended by some of his past teammates and opponents for his attributes on and off the court.”
