It’s throwback week! The annual Heritage Round returns this weekend, and we have some historic rivals bubbling to the surface once again.

Check out the key must-watch games from the weekend below, all live and free via Kayo Freebies.

Friday, Round 5: Northside Wizards vs Ipswich Force

Women’s live from 6:00pm | Men’s live from 8:00pm AEST

Fresh off a game-winner, Lamar Patterson will be in top form as he continues to look like he’s ready to make his NBL return.

While for the Wizards, captain Tyler Williams has had his own clutch moments this season.

Sitting only one win apart on the ladder, this should be an extremely close clash between two storied clubs in Queensland.

Saturday, Round 9: Kilsyth Cobras vs Knox Raiders

Women’s live from 5:30pm | Men’s live from 7:30pm AEST

One of many historic rivalries in the NBL1 South will take place this weekend, the battle of the ashes. For over 40 years, this has been a bitter battle between two huge clubs in the East of Melbourne.

Both the women’s and men’s Knox sides are currently in the top three of their respective ladders, while the men’s Cobras are having one of their best seasons in some time – currently fifth on the ladder.

Hosted down in Kilsyth, this will be a must-attend if you can, or you can tune in live and free via Kayo Freebies.

Sunday, Round 9: Sturt Sabres vs Forestville Eagles

Women’s live from 1:00pm | Men’s live from 3:00pm ACST

In a rematch for both the women’s and men’s Preliminary Finals games last season, this is shaping up to be a perfect showing of South Australian basketball.

Two clubs with a deep history and connection will face off once again, this time with some very recent results. Both Eagles teams advanced past Sturt for Grand Finals appearances last season, with only the men’s claiming the championship.

This rivalry is as old as basketball in South Australia, so make sure to tune in and see superstars like Dejan Vasilejvic, Alex Starling, Tayla Brazel and more live via Kayo Freebies.
