NBL1 will show its support for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) this weekend, with Play4BCNA Round across all NBL1 conferences.

The Play4BCNA Round has officially been registered as a Pink Sports Day, meaning NBL1 will be raising funds for BCNA to help support all Australian women and men affected by breast cancer.

Clubs across NBL1 South, NBL1 Central and NBL1 West will show their support, with pink to be highlighted in stadiums across the country including all South coaches wearing pink t-shirts.

NBL1 Play4BCNA Round coincides with Mother's Day on Sunday May 9.

BCNA CEO, Kirsten Pilatti, said she was inspired by the dedication and spirit shown by sporting groups to show support for the thousands of families affected by breast cancer across Australia.

“The response from sporting groups and their communities across the country has been truly incredible. On behalf of the team at BCNA and all the members we support, we would like to thank the efforts and inspiration provided by NBL1.”

NBL1 Chief Commercial Officer Brad Joyner said: "It's an honour to be able to partner with BCNA to celebrate NBL1's Play4BCNA Round.

"Breast cancer affects so many of us and every NBL1 conference looks forward to doing what we can to help raise awareness and much-needed funds."

NBL1 Play4BCNA Round tips off Friday night with an NBL1 South battle between Hobart and Eltham. All games will be streamed live and free on NBL1.com.au and the NBL App.

If you or someone you know has been affected by breast cancer, visit www.bcna.org.au or call the BCNA Helpline on 1800 500 258 for information and support.
