After playing in Iceland and Austria for the past year, the 2022 NBL1 National Finals All-Star Five members will suit up again for the South Adelaide Panthers.
Smith led the Panthers, alongside current Adelaide 36er Alex Starling, to the NBL1 Central championship in the 2022 season – scoring 26 points with nine assists and seven rebounds over the Woodville Warriors.

He averaged 26.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists for the Championship team, signing on as the second player on the men’s roster after former Mount Gambier Pioneer, Tom Kubank signed back in late October.
On the Panthers’ Instagram page, Smith said he cannot wait to return to Adelaide.
“I’m looking forward to coming back to a place I call home,” he said.
“The ultimate goal is to have an impact on and off the court, with the hopes of doing things better than my last tenure.”
