Wilson wills Flames to the final finish line
Ally Wilson would not be denied amassing a monster triple double of 24 points, 18 rebounds, 16 assists and five steals in her Norwood Flames thrilling overtime win over the Woodville Warriors 108-99 at the ARC. Jorjah Smith shot the Flames back into the contest after the Warriors led most of the night with six of eleven triples to finish with 25 points with Sharna Thompson not far behind on 23 points and five assists.
Emily Winter engineered her own triple double with 16 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists and Nicole Fransson dominated her way to 29 points, 15 rebounds and four assists before she fouled out in the fourth.
But it was Wilson who turned up the heat for her Flames when it counted…

Rockets rise up in OT to take down Panthers
Lauren Badenoch produced a dazzling performance of 18 points, six rebounds and three assists and along with Tayla Corrigan notching 19 points, nine rebounds and three blocks saw the North Adelaide Rockets force the game to overtime against the South Adelaide Panthers 70-70 a piece…
That’s when Brooke Basham who had been quelled to a single basket was awoken to help fire up a 15-4 run to close the match 85-74 at the Lights. Former Rocket Sam DeFrancesco shot the Panthers into a winning position with 16 points and six rebounds who had help from Holly Forbes with a double double of 13 points, 11 rebounds and four assists.
Ready player Levy two, Otto smoke Lions
Tayla Levy took it to the next level backing up her performance from the previous round with another 36 point with six triple, 10 assist, five steal outing in her Eastern Mavericks third win of the season 66-111 at the Den. Jannon Otto nearly usurped it with a near quadruple double of 22 points, 10 rebounds, nine steals and seven assists.
Even young Airlie Ramsey had a career high perfect night with 13 points without a miss – The Central Districts Lions Jaedyn De La Cerda was their best with 24 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Bearcats bust Eagles 2013 championship celebrations
Lachlan Olbrich blocked the potential go ahead basket for the Eagles as he led his West Adelaide Bearcats to a thrilling 78-82 win at the Nest to move one win clear at the top of the ladder. Olbrich was outstanding with 24 points, seven rebounds, three assists and steals as was Mitch McCarron who played a full match in the absence of Anthony Drmic with 21 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four assists.
The Eagles held plenty of momentum throughout the night through Malith Machar with 16 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks and 18 points with seven rebounds from the pine from Owen Hulland. The Bearcats 11-24 final surge was enough for them to spoil the celebrations of the Eagles 2013 championship over them a decade ago…

Lloyd gives Panthers a chance with haul at Lights
It was another tight finish which came down to the final minute as the Lloyd McVeigh inspired Panthers held off the fast-finishing North Adelaide Rockets 83-85 at the Lights. McVeigh manufactured 30 points, eight rebounds and two assists and along with Alex Starling playing all 40 minutes for 23 points, 17 rebounds and six steals helped them jump ahead by a win on the table into third – but conceded the split to the Rockets by two points.
That was thanks to Koop McCalop with 24 points and 12 rebounds and Riley Harrap with 21 points, eight rebounds, seven assists.
Legan leads Mavericks to new mark
The Eastern Mavericks officially are on their way back to a new high with their fourth win of the season 86-120 over the Central Districts Lions thanks to a massive haul from star shooter James Legan. Legan launched for 31 points with six of the Mavs 17 triples for the evening along with seven rebounds helped ably by import Jack Hemphill with 27 points, 12 rebounds and three assists.
Branden Jenkins produced another big evening with 29 points and six rebounds and got some able support from Kalani Sapwell with 14 points, seven rebounds and five assists in a lean night for the Lions.
