Rocket Lightning duo down West

Another two big time performances from the Lightning duo of Lauren Mansfield (20 points, eight assists, five rebounds and fours steals) and Brooke Basham (25 points, seven rebounds and five) assists) helped the North Adelaide Rockets blast away the West Adelaide Bearcats 89-75. Bearcats Paraguayan 6’9 centre import Andrea Aquino debuted with 19 points to lead last year’s champions.

The former UT Martin Skyhawk turned it on against the Central District Lions for their South Adelaide Panthers with 26 points in their convincing 59-103 win.

Kerridge heats up for Flames to steal win away from Tigers   

Sophie Kerridge heated things up for the Flames in their 21 point, six rebounds, three assists and two steal performance. Not only that but they stopped the Tigers scoring machine in Mariah Martin in their sides 75-67 win.   

 

 

Webber’s 300th turns into overtime thriller

The first overtime thriller of the season happened in Norwood Flames captain Daniel Webber’s 300th outing in the league. His teammate and former Hobart Charger Jack Stanwix turned up the fire at the ARC with 40 points and went head-to-head with the Southern Tigers Fabian Johnson with 36 points in an enthralling overtime win to the Flames 104-99.

West blast away Rockets in rapid response

It has been coming but the West Adelaide Bearcats through Nik De Santis (22 points) and league returning recruit NBL Illawarra Hawk Lachlan Olbrich (12 points and 11 rebounds double double) blasted away the North Adelaide Rockets 54-113.
