Flames of ANZAC Spirit burn bright

Ally Wilson of the Bendigo Spirit burned brightly and everyone in her path today with a league season high of 48 points, 12 rebounds, three assists and steals. Wilson drained seven triples to launch the Norwood Flames over the North Adelaide Rockets 83-74 in a highly explosive encounter between the WNBL forces of Brooke Basham (19 points, eight rebounds), Lauren Mansfield (23 points in the second quarter, seven rebounds and three steals) and Sharna Thompson (11 points and six rebounds).

Bianca white hot with McKendrick in last quarter

Bianca Stasinowsky (22 points with four triples) along with ANZAC medallist Mollie McKendrick (25 points and four assists) were dynamic together in the final quarter scoring 26 of the Southern Tigers 31 points in the final quarter in their sides 68-80 win against the West Adelaide Bearcats at Port Adelaide.

Panthers shell shock out of starting blocks leads to DJ Triple Double and Dub

The Grand Final rematch of 2022 was history repeating for the South Adelaide Panthers shell shocking the Woodville Warriors out of the starting blocks with a 7-30 opener in their 74-93 win at the Castle of St Clair. Daniel Johnson the ANZAC medallist produced the second triple double of the season across both divisions with 17 points, 13 rebounds and 10 rebounds with Jarryd Hoppo (18 points) and Andrew “Hawkeye” Barton on target from deep with five triples in his 15 points.    

Sabres strike back despite Legan launch  

The Sturt Sabres managed to hang on 88-76 in a close finish at the Cave in Springbank thanks to a near triple double from Jordan Forbes with 26 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists with Jacob Rigoni also handy on return with 15 points and 15 rebounds. James Legan after a quiet start to the season ignited the Mavericks early to finish with 26 points with seven triples and eight rebounds.
