Stewart serves Flames up to break four game streak

A career high haul from South Adelaide Panthers young recently turned 23-year-old Hannah Stewart has snapped the Norwood Flames streak 97-83 at Michael Ah Matt court. Stewart dropped a club high 10 triples and her career high of 34 points at 60 percent along with 4 rebounds. The Panthers produced some big numbers including 32 assists for a game with Jordan Hunter collecting 14 of them along with 14 points and Hatti Cox (pictured) narrowly missing a triple double with 9 of them to go with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Olivia Thompson backed up her 30/30 the previous night with 25 points and 16 rebounds in a complete performance from the Panthers. For the Flames Ally Wilson was outstanding with 30 points including 6 triples, 8 rebounds and 6 assists along with Genna Anderson with 15 points and 7 rebounds.  

Sabres sneak closer to top with big win over Warriors

The Sturt Sabres have snuck a little closer to the top after a thumping 43-126 win over the Woodville Warriors at the Castle of St Clair. The Sabres shared it around with a whopping 41 assists with six players making double figures and all players hitting the scoreboard. The best for the Sabres was Kylee Smith with 21 points at 80 percent with 7 rebounds and Soriah Moon with 14 points at 85 percent and 10 rebounds in her first double double of the season. For the home side Serena Waters found double figures again for the second day in a row as she grabbed 11 points and 3 blocks.  

Southern survive OT scare from Eastern Sunday Mavs

The Southern Tigers have survived an OT scare in a dour duel with the Eastern Mavericks 60-54 at the Cage. Taylor Moffat drew the scores level with a triple 49-49 at the end of regulation for the inform side from the Eastern Hills. However, import Teige Morrell (21 points, 26 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals) controlled proceedings in the overtime minus Morgan Yaeger with a minor injury. Jemma Thacker (16 points) and recently returned Bella Stratford (12 points) stepped up in her absence throughout the contest. Mollie McKendrick continued her all-star season with 20 points, 15 rebounds and 5 steals but was the only Mav to reach double figures for the afternoon.     

Simons duo Den-y Lions on Sunday

The Simons sisters have taken the Forestville Eagles two games clear of fifth with a comfortable effort over the Central District Lions 49-88 at the Den. Sam (21 points at 62.5 percent, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals) and Jess (12 points) dominated the scoreboard along with a double double to Zali Grosser of 10 points, 13 rebounds and 4 steals. The Lions had five players score 7 or 8 points in the game including Erin Boyd, Bec Wells, Madi Curry, Sam Kennett and Meaza Otto to lead the way on their scoring front.
