Smith added 8 rebounds to that haul along with 2 blocks with Jade Johnson (18 points and 5 assists) also finding touch for the home side. Sophie Kerridge bettered her previous night season high with 23 points at 69 percent in a flaming finish to her season and with a quelled Ally Wilson (9 points, 15 rebounds and 6 assists) were the best for the Flames.
Mavericks might overwhelms young Lions
The Eastern Mavericks overwhelmed the young Central District Lions in the second half as they shot their way to a 39-103 win at the Den. Mollie McKendrick went within a breath of a triple double with 26 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals with seven other players dropping 8 points or more for the away side. The Lions were kept in it by Meaza Otto who continues to finish the season strongly with 13 points.
Eagles close in on finals spot with win over South
The Forestville Eagles closed in on securing a finals shot as they put on a finals preview with a solid game against the South Adelaide Panthers 69-54 at the Nest. Brooke Basham put in a big game with 26 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists and steals and along with fellow Adelaide Lightning team-mate Sam Simons (21 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks and 2 steals) swooped on the Panthers early in the first quarter. The Panthers were led back into the contest by Olivia Thompson (25 points and 14 rebounds) as the junior of the home club led a third quarter fightback only to have it pecked apart by the Eagles.
With only 7 games left for the season, it's all up for grabs next weekend...
