Yeager Bomb wins it at buzzer for nine zero Tigers

The Southern Tigers have won an absolute thriller at the buzzer to keep their undefeated season rolling 71-70 against the Forestville Eagles at the Cage. A Madi Round steal setup Yaeger with the clock running down as she finished the deuce from mid-range. Yeager dropped 15 points and 6 rebounds while Teige Morrell dropped a double double yet again of 23 points and 10 rebounds. Brooke Basham had her best return for the Eagles since her injury with 25 points.

Good performance elevates North at the Firedome

The North Adelaide Rockets have grabbed an important win on the road as they jumped out of the blocks 1-18 at the Firedome against the Norwood Flames 62-97. Centre Jess Good hauled in 31 points at 61.9 percent and 16 rebounds and along with Sam Defrancesco who shot 25 points along with 7 rebounds led the night for the away side. Ally Wilson compiled another double double of 28 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Flames who struggled for other winners for the night.  

51 points precise for Thompson over Lions

Star Olivia Thompson has clocked up the highest individual score in this NBL1 Central Womens season as the South Adelaide Panthers jumped to third and crushed the Central District Lions 127-54 at the Jungle. Thompson raised the half century with 5:42 left in the final quarter to finish with 51 points at 71.4 percent along with 13 rebounds and 7 steals. Ash “Splash” Spencer dropped 31 points and 8 rebounds to accumulate 82 of the Panthers 124 points between the players. Not to be outdone former WNBL guard Jordan Hunter dished out a league high 20 assists to go with her 9 points and 5 rebounds to set the table for her two stars. Rebecca Wells was the only Lion to reach double figures with 10 points with the team minus April Rummery-Lamb for the night.   

Triple Double Mollie lifts Mavs over Warriors

A triple double from Mollie McKendrick has given the Eastern Mavericks their second win in a row after they washed away the Woodville Warriors 76-50 at the Shooting Gallery. McKendrick dropped 10 points, 14 rebounds and 13 assists in the haul and was enormous for the Mavs along with centre Rachel Hines with 18 points and 7 rebounds. In a rough night for the Warriors, college returnee Serena Waters was the best with 20 points at 63.6 percent for the match including 4 of 6 from beyond the arc.

Sabres notch eight in a row with West win

The Sturt Sabres have setup a one versus two clash with the Southern Tigers next round winning their eighth in a row claiming a crucial road win over the West Adelaide Bearcats 64-88 at the Bearcat Cave. Jade Johnson continued her rich vein of form dropping 25 points along with Kylee Smith’s 23 points. Best for West was Jennie Rintala with 20 points and 12 rebounds in her double double along with the building momentum of Jasmin Fejo (15 points).
