NBL1 East Finals MVP re-signs for 2024

The NBL1 East Finals MVP Lochlan Hutchison has re-signed with the championship-winning Sutherland Sharks for the 2024 season.

After averaging 17.5 points, 5.8 assists and 5.6 rebounds for the Sharks, Hutchison led his Sharks to the Grand Final where they defeated the Maitland Mustangs in a down-to-the-wire finish. 

In the Grand Final, the former Sydney King had an outstanding game, playing elite defence and scoring 17 points with seven assists and rebounds over the talented Mustangs.

Sharks General Manager Adrian Dark said it was an important signing to retain Hutchison. 

“Hutch is a player that every year we look at as a must-have on the roster,” he said. 

“He is your ultimate club guy and he has shown tremendous loyalty over the years to stay with us. I feel it’s going to be another huge year for Hutch.

“He is a world-class defender and he has the ability to turn matches. It’s always special when you see a local guy compete at such a high level.”
