NBL1 Heritage Round returns!

The Mitsubishi Motors NBL1, its clubs and conferences will celebrate the rich history of Australian state basketball this week for the annual Heritage Round games.

The Round will feature several traditional and regional rivalries, as the clubs and conferences celebrate their historic roots. As a nod to their past, select clubs will celebrate anniversaries in the annual round, as well as other initiatives to celebrate traditions.
The round will celebrate the families, communities and members who have made each club special over the years.

NBL1 General Manager, Dean Anglin spoke on the importance of acknowledging the round and the foundations that shaped the league.

“We are delighted to see this round return this season, to celebrate the rich and historic culture across State League Basketball in Australia,” Anglin said.

“Since the start of the NBL1 in 2019, we’ve featured clubs with decades of history and we are looking forward to reflecting on what makes our competition such a special collection of communities.”
