Rollers claim thrilling win at home over Phoenix
In a game where little separated the two teams all afternoon, the Gold Coast Rollers held on for the thrilling 80-79 victory against the Sunshine Coast Phoenix on Sunday.
It was a tight game all afternoon at Carrara Stadium with the Rollers leading by two points at quarter-time before the Phoenix turned it around to narrowly lead 43-42 at half-time.
Sunshine Coast did work their way further on top in the third quarter and were still up 62-58 at three quarter-time, but Gold Coast just had the answers down the stretch to claim the one-point win.
The result sees Gold Coast improve to a 2-1 record after the first three rounds of the season while Sunshine Coast are 1-2.
All hope looked lost for the Gold Coast Rollers...
But three shots later, including the final bucket of the game by Jade Peacock, they secured victory to get back on the winners list! ?

MEN
Galloway's quick hands deny Patterson in Ipswich win
Nathan Sobey knocked down nine three-pointers to help the Ipswich Force to a nail-biting 91-89 home win over Lamar Patterson and the South West Metro Pirates.
There was no shortage of star power out on JBS Stadium on Sunday not only with former Brisbane Bullets teammates Sobey and Patterson, but also current/former NBL players Jaylin Galloway, Deng Deng, Brendan Teys and Chris Cedar.
You won't see many dunks today like this ??????? from Jaylin Galloway ?

The stage was set for a terrific contest and it didn’t disappoint and it was the nine three-pointers from Olympian Sobey that helped Ipswich be in a winning position with a two-point lead.
However, the Pirates had possession and the ball was in the hands of former All-NBL First Team member Patterson with the game to be decided.
He was preparing to jack up a three-point attempt that would have won the game, but fast hands on defence from Galloway took the ball out of his grasp and from there Ipswich held on for the two-point victory.
All Sobey's 27 points came from his 9/17 three-point shooting to go with three rebounds and three assists with Deng Deng adding 20 points, 13 rebounds and three assists.
Galloway finished with eight points and 12 rebounds for Ipswich with Cameron Goldfinch contributing nine points, four assists and two boards.
Kai Woodfall top-scored for the Pirates with 27 points on 5/11 three-point shooting with Teys ending up with 18 points and six rebounds, Patterson 14 points and seven assists, and Cedar 12 points and seven rebounds.

Cadee, Blanchfield lift Rollers to bounce back win
A near triple-double from captain Jason Cadee lifted the defending NBL1 North champion Gold Coast Rollers to a commanding 100-71 win against the Sunshine Coast Phoenix.

Gold Coast were left frustrated by letting one slip on the road to the Logan Thunder on Saturday night and the reigning NBL1 North champions took that out on the Phoenix on Sunday at Carrara.
With Cadee leading the charge and fellow NBL veteran Todd Blanchfield in tow, the Rollers proved too strong throughout the afternoon beginning with 27 points to 19 in the opening quarter.
The Rollers added another 25 points to 13 in the second quarter, 22 to 21 in the third and finally 26 to 18 in the fourth on the way to the 29-point win with both teams now holding 2-2 records on the season.
Ahead of his return to the Adelaide 36ers, Cadee was superb for Gold Coast with 33 points, nine assists and seven rebounds while 373-game NBL veteran Blanchfield added 22 points, 14 rebounds and six assists fresh off being released by the Perth Wildcats.
Cameron Thew added 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Jalen Patton-Croker 10 points and nine boards.
That is vintage Jason Cadee right there ?
Not bad hey, @Adelaide36ers?
