Only two games of NBL1 North basketball this Sunday, and they could not have been any more polar opposites.

First, Logan's women's team had one of the biggest victories of this NBL1 season, before the Mackay men's squad outlasted their opponents in an absolute thriller.

Check out the games below.

WOMEN

Mackay Meteorettes (53) def by Logan Thunder (93)

An absolutely devastating loss for Mackay in this game, as they get blown out by 40 points by Logan.

Mikaela Ruef was huge in this game, dropping a 20-point 21-rebound double-double, as three other starters also hit double figures.

Mackay were outgunned in every conceivable way, with only two players in double figures, Shaneice Swain and Alisia Jenkins sharing the team's top score of 11.

MACKAY 53 (Swain and Jenkins 11, Bobongie and Rees 9)

LOGAN 93 (Ruef and Taia 20, Koizar 13)

MEN

Logan Thunder (88) def by Mackay Meteors (89)

In a day of close games all around the NBL1, this was the closest, an overtime thriller that had it all, from game-saving blocks to missed game-winning shots.

Jeremy Kendle was of course instrumental in the Thunder’s success, scoring 31 points including a whopping seven three-pointers.

But it was the combined brilliance of Mackay that got them over the line, with each starter hitting double digits - Emmanuel Malou leading with 19.

LOGAN 88 (Kendle 31, Bach 15, Kyei 13)

MACKAY 89 (Malou 19, J. Galloway and Foketi 16)
