A back-to-back Brisbane and Southern Districts duel were the lone games this Sunday, with all but one team trying to break their losing streaks. 

While the Spartans triumphed in the women's game, it was the Capitals taking home the win for the men.

WOMEN 

Brisbane Capitals (58) def by Southern Districts Spartans (76)

A huge win for the Spartans against the Capitals, defeating them by 18 points including holding them to a nine-point effort in the fourth quarter. 

Abby Cubillo led the Capitals, doing a bit of everything en route to a 22-point, five rebound, five steal, and three assist night. 

Scoring was much more plentiful for the Spartans, Nadeen Payne and Leah Scott with 21 points and nine rebounds apiece. 

BRISBANE 58 (Cubillo 22, Fuller 12, Corke and Woodford 6) 

SOUTHERN DISTRICTS 76 (Payne and Scott 21, Dart and Allen 12) 

MEN 

Southern Districts Spartans (86) def by Brisbane Capitals (110)

The Capitals claimed a huge win in this match, taking down the Spartans by 24 points due to a huge offensive effort by their starting five. 

Max Mackinnon led all scorers with 27 points, joined in the twenties by Lachlan Dent, who had 21. 

Jalen Canty was the Spartans' high-watermark with 22 points and 10 rebounds, but Southern Districts were severely outgunned in this game.

BRISBANE 110 (MacKinnon 27, Dent 21, Rouhliadeff 17)
