NBL1 East:
Albury-Wodonga Bandits: Emma Mahady
The Albury local product had an outstanding game against the Inner West Bulls on Saturday. With 35 points, 20 rebounds and two assists, the forward will have to continue to play like this if the first on the ladder Bandits plan to go back-to-back this season.

Canberra Gunners: Glenn Morison
The Brindabella Beacon put up a huge 22 points and 20 rebounds against the Sutherland Sharks in a two-point win on Saturday.
The Gunners needed a win as the reigning champions lost three of their first four games before Saturday’s win. The 2022 Finals MVP delivered a huge double-double and the win.

Northside Wizards: Courtney Woods
In two wins in Round 2, WNBL and NBL1 North champion Courtney Woods had a massive average of 24.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and six assists against the Logan Thunder and the North Gold Coast Seahawks.

Cairns Marlins: Tad Dufelmeier
In a clutch win over the Darwin Salties, Tad Dufelmeier reminded everyone that he is a pure bucket. With 23 points, 12 rebounds and five assists against the title-contending Salties in the three-point win.

Woodville Warriors: Nicole Fransson
Woodville Warriors star Nicole Fransson had a massive 30 points and 15 rebounds over the Central District Lions on Saturday.
The Warriors are looking to improve from last season’s poor record and if Fransson continues this momentum, they will possibly be a top-four team in Central come to the end of the regular season.

West Adelaide Bearcats: Mitch McCarron
With a near quadruple-double, the Adelaide 36ers star had a dominant game against the Norwood Flames on Friday night.
With 20 points, 10 assists, eight rebounds and seven steals, McCarron is leading by example in a new era for the men’s Bearcats.

Joondalup Wolves: Robbi Ryan
The 2022 NBL1 West First-Team star Robbi Ryan was back in action this weekend with her Wolves, as she dropped a massive 30-piece with 10 rebounds and six assists in a 10-point win over the Rockingham Flames.
After a fantastic rookie season in the WNBL with the Perth Lynx, Ryan is back and better than ever to try to replicate last season’s historic success.

Rockingham Flames: Devondrick Walker
In the preseason, the 2022 NBL1 West MVP Devondrick Walker said he’ll be even better than he was last season – and he’s come out the gates showing he wasn’t lying.
Averaging 36 points across two games, Walker looked more athletic, more skilled and more determined.
After being handed his Coles Express NBL1 National Finals Championship ring, Walker led his Flames to a 120-point total score over the Wolves at home.
With the target on their back, we’ll see if Walker can continue to be as fiery hot as he was in Round 1.
