NBL1 South Awards Night

Last Friday night the NBL1 South hosted its league awards night. The event saw representatives from every club, including players, coaches, administrators, league officials, and staff coming together to honour the outstanding achievements of the season.  

Representing the Miners, we’re Luke Rosendale, Tyler Rudolph, Chloe Bibby, Abbey Wehrung, Neville Ivey, Chris Thornton, Joel Anderson and Lydia Brooks.

Each year the NBL1 also awards a Club of the Year.  This highly sought and prestigious Award reflects the achievements of the Club which has exceeded performance expectations across criteria including Engagement with the Community, Game Night experience, Stadium amenities, membership and attendance numbers at games along with administrative adherence.

It was with great pride that the Ballarat Miners were awarded this prestigious award.

CEO of Basketball Ballarat Nev Ivey states “it was an honour to accept the award on behalf of the organisation’.  This achievement reflects a team effort by management, staff and volunteers including Committee members and the Directors of the Board who provide guidance and a supportive environment”.

2024 has been an exceptional year for the Club on and off the court demonstrating exceptional growth and success.

Overall, it was a great night that saw success for the Ballarat Miners both on and off the court having several nominations and award winners.
