A six-game slate was on the cards for NBL1 South this Sunday, with a healthy mix of close contests and dominant displays.

The scores ranged from five-point losses to 39, with enough basketball to make any hoops fan happy.

Check out how the games went below.

WOMEN

Geelong Supercats (73) def by Bendigo Braves (78)

One of the closer games on today’s schedule, this grudge match came down to the wire, but Bendigo’s twin towers were the difference in the end.

Kelly Wilson had 22 points and eight assists, while Megan McKay had 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Geelong battled well but ultimately did not have enough.

GEELONG 73 (Blicavs 15, Rocci 14, Elsworthy 13)

BENDIGO 78 ( Wilson 22, McKay 20, Sexton 15)

Melbourne Tigers (41) def by Eltham Wildcats (80)

This was an absolute demolition job from Eltham, coming two points shy of doubling their opponent's total score.

For Eltham, four of their players scored 16 or more points.

In comparison, Melbourne had just two players in double figures, in a loss I’m sure they’d like to forget.

MELBOURNE 41 (Hooper 14, Heal 10, Stewart 6)

ELTHAM 80 (Campbell 20, Pizzey 18, Wynne 17)

Sandringham Sabres (65) def by Ballarat Miners (80)

This was a relatively easy victory for Ballarat, despite solid scoring from Sandringham’s starting five.

Both Jade Melbourne and Zitina Aokuso recorded double-doubles with points and rebounds, while Isabella Brancatisano led all scorers with 25.

SANDRINGHAM 65 (Pineau 19, Nakkasoglu and Jarry 12)

BALLARAT 80 (Brancatisano 25, Melbourne 19, Aokuso 12)

MEN

Bendigo Braves (73) def by Geelong Supercats (90)

Bendigo got off to a good start here, winning the first quarter by seven, but from there it was all Geelong.

Luke Rosendale was huge for Bendigo with 24, but with Turner and Hadley combining for 48 points, it was a tough night for the Braves.

BENDIGO 73 (Rosendale 24, Bernard 15, Smythe 10)

GEELONG 90 (Hadley 25, Turner 23, Blagojevic 16)

Eltham Wildcats (68) def by Melbourne Tigers (73)

Melbourne lose a close one here against Melbourne, after being held to just 20 points in the second half.

Joshua Sykes led all scorers with 24, but five separate Tigers hitting double figures meant that the Wildcats fall just short of the win.

ELTHAM 68 (Sykes 24, Dance 15, Magbegor 8)

MELBOURNE 73 (Von Hofe 14, Chehhal and Gaze 11)

Ballarat Miners (82) def by Sandringham Sabres (89)

A second-half push from Ballarat wasn’t enough to gain back this game, with Sandringham holding on for the seven-point win.

Tohiraukura Smith-Milner was the highlight of the game, scoring 22 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

While Ballarat had four of its five starts hit at least 14 points, a combined 10 bench points was what saw them come undone.

BALLARAT 82 (Crisp 19, Sapwell 18, Bungei 16)

SANDRINGHAM 89 (Smith-Milner 22, Gabsch 16, Blogg 15)
