With NBL1 South making its long-awaited return on Friday night, crowd capacities for Victorian venues have been confirmed.
Basketball Victoria, NBL1 South and the Victorian Government have approved 50% of stadium capacity up to a maximum of 1000 people for venues that meet the criteria of the Tier 3 Public Event Framework.
Masks are currently mandatory for all patrons over 12 years of age at all times indoors (state-wide) unless medically exempt.
Players, coaches and referees are exempt while on court participating in an exertive role, however, must be worn while not playing and on entry and exit of stadium.
Basketball Victoria and NBL1 South understands these restrictions will remain for at least two weeks.
Patrons are also reminded that scanning the venue’s QR code is mandatory for all upon entry.
Due to ongoing SA Health restrictions on metropolitan Melbourne, the Dandenong Rangers will not travel to Mount Gambier this weekend, with the game postponed to Friday July 30.
The Pioneers and Rangers will resume their season on Saturday July 3 against Kilsyth and Albury Wodonga, respectively.
The community’s health and safety is paramount and both parties will continue to follow the latest guidelines.
Another QR code that will be available to scan is the NBL1’s Mental Health Round QR code, which upon scanning will take patrons to a Lifeline donation form.
