Waverley Falcons 79 def Diamond Valley Eagles 72
The Waverley Falcons have handed the Diamond Valley Eagles their first loss of the season in a hard fought outing at home.
The Falcons led by as many as 10 points early on in the contest, but were matched by Diamond Valley, who continually kept the game close in the second term.
Blacio Owili led the way for the Eagles, putting together a 23-point, 11-rebound double-double.
Diamond Valley’s resilience was on display throughout much of the game, even leading the Eagles to take the lead late in the fourth term, however in the end the Falcons were too good.
