As the 2025 NBL1 South season reaches its final round, clubs across the league are proudly coming together to recognise and support Mental Health Round — a powerful initiative aimed at raising awareness and breaking down stigma around mental health in our community.
This round holds extra significance as it highlights the statistic that one in five young Australians experience a mental health difficulty each year, a reminder of the importance of conversations, support networks, and organisations like headspace who provide critical services for young people navigating mental health challenges.
Throughout the weekend, NBL1 South teams will take the court wearing green headspace socks to show their support and help spread the message that it’s OK to not be OK, and that help is always available.
With the regular season concluding, attention now turns towards the upcoming finals series — but not before this weekend’s games remind us all of the value of community, connection, and looking out for one another.
For anyone needing support, please remember services like headspace, Lifeline (13 11 14) and Beyond Blue (1300 22 4636) are always available.
