Amy Atwell - Bendigo Braves
NBL1 National Champion and NBL1 South Finals MVP Amy Atwell will return to Bendigo for another season to defend the title.
After a historic 28-0 season with the Bendigo Braves, the recently named All WNBL Second-Team member is set to dominate once again for the National Champions.
For the Braves, Atwell averaged 25.7 points during the regular season and performed even better under pressure – scoring 36 points in 32 minutes in the NBL1 South Grand Final and putting up 44 points against the Northside Wizards in the National Finals.
Before returning to Bendigo, Atwell will take on the WNBL Finals with the Perth Lynx, alongside Perth Redback’s signing Anneli Maley and NBL1 West champion Steph Gorman.
Malik Meunier - Waverley Falcons
NBL1 West Champion and First-Team member Malik Meunier has returned to Victoria to join the Waverley Falcons for the 2024 NBL1 South season.
South fans will be familiar with Meunier, a Victorian junior who played for the Knox Raiders in the 2021 season.
Since then, he has become a star in the West, winning a title with the Geraldton Buccaneers, taking his team to the National Finals and being selected for the NBL1 West Select Team to play against the Perth Wildcats in the NBL24 preseason.
