NBL1 stars feature in NBA Mock Draft

ESPN’s latest mock draft features two former NBL1 prospects making the top 60 picks for the 2024 NBA Draft.

Basketball Australia Centre of Excellence product Tyrese Proctor has vaulted to as high as 14th overall, while NBL1 Central Champion Lachlan Olbrich has cracked the mock draft for the first time at 58th overall. 

In the 2022 NBL1 season, Proctor played nine games where he averaged 15 points per game, 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the CoE. His athleticism and scoring capabilities against the best teams in the competition were impressive for the then-18-year-old.

He spent this past season at Duke University, where he was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team and averaged nine points per game for the Blue Devils.

This was off the back of an enormous NBL1 Central campaign with the West Adelaide Bearcats, where he took home the All-Star Five appearance, Frank Angove medal and the championship with the Finals MVP.
