Four NBL1 stars are set to represent the green and gold and play to qualify for Australia’s spot in 3x3 basketball in its second Olympic Games in Paris.

Four NBL1 stars are set to represent the green and gold and play to qualify for Australia’s spot in 3x3 basketball in its second Olympic Games in Paris.
The Redbacks’ Anneli Maley, North Adelaide’s Lauren Mansfield, Warwick’s Marena Whittle and Bendigo’s Ally Wilson will once again suit up for the Gangurrus in the FIBA 3x3 Universality Olympic Qualifying Tournament 2 in Utsunomiya, Japan from May 3-5.
Joined by the NBL1 North’s Miela Goodchild and Lara McSpadden as practice players, the core four will have to rekindle their Asia Cup magic to qualify for Australia’s first Olympic appearance in 3x3.
The women’s Gangurrus are coming off a first-place finish in the 2024 FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup and a third-place finish in the 2023 World Cup.
Their first game takes place against the Netherlands tonight in Pool B, streaming from 5:15pm AEST via Kayo Sports.
