With the college season around the corner, many NBL1 stars are set to take on America by storm through their new college teams.

Most notably will be BA Centre of Exellence and Boomers star Tyrese Proctor. ESPN's Olgun Uluc reports he is receiving significant interest as a first-round draft pick for the NBA and likely will be Duke University's star player this season.

"If you ask the Duke coaching staff, he's been their best player so far and he's been their biggest surprise," ESPN's draft analyst, Jonathan Givony told Uluc.

"He's a guy who they point to as pretty much the key to their season. They fell in love with him right away, in terms of what he brings; his leadership, all the winning qualities that he has, how unselfish he is, his feel for the game, the timing and positioning he has defensively. He's just such a great connector for them, between all their pieces."

Proctor's CoE teammate Evan Kilminster will be another to watch, playing for the Charleston Cougars, Kilminster had a fantastic NBL1 season. One of his best performances was against the Willetton Tigers, dropping 38 points and displaying his shooting and athleticism against a talented NBL1 West squad.

One of the key stars of the women's side will be Chrya Evans, the Newcastle Falcons superstar led the team to the East finals as one of the youngest players in the competition. She averaged 21 points and 10.5 rebounds and now will play for the Michigan Wolverines

Melbourne Tigers teammates Hannah Giddey and Tess Heal will also be must-watches over in the States. Giddey will play with Southern Nazarene University, in her NBL1 season she averaged 5.7 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists as the perfect role player next to emerging star Tess Heal.

Before leaving for college, Heal averaged 21 points and seven rebounds for the Tigers and it set to dominate with Santa Clara.

Lachlan Olbrich will also be one to watch. Uluc wrote that he is likely the highest-usage Australian male freshman going into the new college season with UC Riverside. They played against the Illawarra Hawks in the pre-season, where he dropped 19 points and 10 rebounds, but really made his mark in the NBL1 with the Southern Tigers.

In the NBL1 Central conference, Olbrich averaged 19.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and three assists while dropping one of the best dunks of the season.
